Sharon Rose Gibbs, 83, of Whitesboro, Texas was called to her eternal home on Wednesday, October 9, 2024.

Sharon was born on June 26, 1941 in Albuquerque, NM to Emory and Marie (Lamb) Nicholas. 

She was a graduate of Albuquerque High school and attended cosmetology school.  

She married Fred Gibbs on August 25, 1959 in Albuquerque. She was a faithful member of the Union St. Church of Christ in Whitesboro. Sharon enjoyed oil painting and quilting.
She is survived by her husband, Fred Gibbs of Whitesboro; son, Tony Gibbs and wife, Laura of Whitesboro; daughter, Sheila Gibbs of Whitesboro; daughter, Shelly Gibbs of Whitesboro; grandchildren, Luke Osborn, Jenna Emerick, and Emily Gibbs, great-grandchildren, Cora and Jack, brother, Mike Nicholas and wife, Pam; brother, Nick Nicholas and wife, Beth; and sister, Shannon Newman; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Emory and Marie Nicholas.

Graveside services honoring Sharon were held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at Sadler Cemetery in Sadler, Texas, officiated by Rev. Mike Bentley. No formal visitation was scheduled.
