Martha Nell Renfroe, 74, of Gainesville, Texas, passed away on September 9, 2024. 

Born on July 1, 1950, Martha dedicated 25 years of her life to teaching at Central Christian Academy, later known as American Heritage School, where she impacted many lives, having taught up to three generations of students in some families.

Martha was known for her compassionate, Christ-like demeanor, steadfast loyalty, and her wonderful sense of humor. Her faith was an integral part of her life as a lifelong member of Legacy Point Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Janey Dutton, Sandra Thompson and her husband Johnny, and Kara Henderson and her husband David; grandchildren, Tori, Riley, and Ethan Thompson, and Isaac Dodd and Maggie Henderson; sisters, Rosie O’Toole and Teresa Smith; and brother, Calvin Sharber. She also leaves behind sisters-in-law, Betty Sharber and Ivette Sharber. 

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Noah and Marie Sharber; her husbands, Joe David Dutton and Michael Renfroe; her son, Garrett Dutton; her brother, Ricky Sharber; and brother-in-law, Terry O’ Toole.

Martha cherished her time at garage sales, solving puzzle books, and taking naps. Above all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life.
