Beverly Kay Roy, 68, of Garland, Texas was called to her heavenly home on Wednesday, August 28, 2024.

Beverly was born on January 26, 1956 in Dallas, Texas to Kenneth and Glennys (Hawkins) Damewood. 

She was a graduate of Plano High School and received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of North Texas.  

Beverly married Terry Roy in Irving, Texas on June 30, 1984. She was a member of the Woodcreek Bible Church in Richardson, Texas. 

Beverly enjoyed working with children in church and studying her Bible daily, she gained strength from its teachings. She enjoyed taking day trips and spending time with her beloved family.

She is survived by her husband, Terry Roy of Garland; son, James Hughlan Roy of Dallas; brothers, Doug Damewood, Kevin Damewood, and Eric Damewood, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Glennys Damewood.

Graveside services honoring Beverly were held at 2:30 PM on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at Nelson Grove Cemetery in Woodbine, officiated by Rev. Rob Green. 

A time of visitation for family and friends was held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro.
