Garvin John Reynolds
1951-2024

Garvin John Reynolds

Garvin John Reynolds, 72, passed away on June 08, 2024.

Garvin was the youngest of six children born to Clyde and Tecora “Pete” Reynolds on November 27, 1951, in Celina, TX and raised in Farmers Branch, TX.

In February 1975, he married the love of his life, Debra “Debbie” Bench Reynolds.
He was a loving father and great provider for his family.

Garvin worked in construction for 30 plus years and drove a truck until retirement.
Garvin loved the time he was able to spend with his family and all the wonderful memories they were able to make together. His family was his world. In his free time, Garvin loved to hunt and fish.

Garvin and Debbie moved to Mesquite in 1981, where they raised their children. They later moved back to Farmers Branch, TX where they resided for 18 years.

With much persuasion and convincing, their son and wife finally moved them to Whitesboro, TX to enjoy retirement.

Since retirement, Garvin loved working on the farm, messing with the tractors, and tending to the horses and cows. He also started attending First Baptist Church of Whitesboro with his family. In October 2023, during a revival at church, Garvin made the decision to give his life to the Lord and was baptized the next day.

Garvin is survived by his wife, Debbie, son Andy and wife Stacy, son Curtis and wife Barbara, and daughter Misty, grandsons Colton wife Shelby, Collin, and Landon, granddaughters Brittney and boyfriend Garrett, and Hannah, great-granddaughters Paislee and Charlee, and sister Bronnia, along with many nieces and nephews.

Garvin was preceded in death by his father, Clyde, mother, Tecora “Pete”, brother JC, sisters Vida, Kinky, Mae, and daughter, Jennifer Reynolds.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at First Baptist Church of Whitesboro. Arrangements are under the care of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, Gainesville. You may register your condolences at www.geojcarroll.com.
