David Wayne Sharber, 57, of Whitesboro, Texas passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024.

David was born on December 20, 1966 in Gainesville, Texas to Rick and Betty Sharber. He attended Whitesboro Schools and received his GED in 1985. David was in the National Guard for 10 years and was currently working at Rock Creek Resort on Lake Texoma. He was baptized in Lake Texoma in 1975. David enjoyed fishing, working outside, helping people and he loved animals.

He is survived by his son, Cody Wayne Sharber of Troy, Missouri; daughter, Nicki Hoard and husband, Steven of Columbia, Missouri; grandchildren, Hunter Sharber of Whitesboro, and Steven and Sammy Hoard of Columbia; mother, Betty Sharber of Whitesboro; brother, Terry Wayne Sharber and wife, Lisa of Bowie; nieces, Melissa Brookshire and husband, Zac and family of Bowie; and Stacy Miltner and husband, John of Boyd; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

David was preceded in death by his father, Ricky Wayne Sharber.

A memorial service honoring David will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 7, 2024 at 
Bones Chapel Church of Whitesboro, officiated by Pastor Derrick Roberts. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro.
