Patsy Glenavee Moore Brown was born February 17, 1954 in Sherman, TX, to father Grover Eldridge Moore and mother Christine Glenavee Brown Moore. 

She attended a one-room schoolhouse in Gordonville, TX, and graduated from Whitesboro High School. She then went onto Grayson Junior College and then finished her college career at the University of Texas in Austin, where she met her husband Joe Bob Brown Jr. at University Church of Christ. 

Patsy married Joe Bob on September 1, 1979. Joe Bob and Patsy Brown welcomed their daughter Andrea Brown in 1992 in Arlington, TX.

Patsy spent 40 years with Associates which became Citigroup in various roles. Patsy enjoyed travelling. Every spring she enjoyed looking for the best bluebonnet fields and enjoyed antiquing across the state of Texas. 

Patsy and her friend Linda Nichols would take Andrea to towns across the state shopping at antique stores and touring the old courthouses, while Joe Bob was fishing with Jim Gragg or Billy Bob Stinson. 

Patsy’s favorite place to visit was Yellowstone National Park, where she enjoyed looking for bears and wolves and enjoyed the various views around the park. 

In 2019 she welcomed her first granddaughter Emma Louise Meyer and again in 2023 when her second granddaughter Ella Louise Meyer was born.

Patsy passed on April 3, 2024 at Medical City Arlington. She is survived by her brother, Grover Franklin Moore and his wife Joyce; husband, Joe Bob Brown; daughter, Andrea Meyer; son-in-law Clayton Meyer; and granddaughters, Emma and Ella Meyer. 

Services were held at New York Avenue Church of Christ in Arlington, TX on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Yellowstone Forever at Yellowstone.org or the American Cancer Society in her honor.
