Doug was called to his eternal home on Wednesday, March 13, 2024. 

Doug was born on January 12, 1960 in Gainesville, TX, to James Leroy and Sylvia Clydena Morris.

Doug was a graduate of Decatur High School and took a number of college courses.
He married Karen Gibbs and had two children, Elizabeth Elan Morris Dobie (husband Chris) and Jacob Tanner Morris.

Doug had four grandsons. Jake Morris had one son, Jameson, and Elizabeth had three sons, Drake, Joshua and Jordan.

Doug was preceded in death by his father, James Leroy Morris on Feb. 3, 2021.

Doug is survived by his children; mother, Dena; sister, DeAnna Gayle Leopold (husband Mark); brother, Donald Leroy Morris (wife Lois); and friends.

Doug’s funeral service will be April 13, 2024 at Montgomery, Texas. 

Doug will be missed so very much by family and friends.
