Gwendolyn Elaine Harwell, age 73, of Gainesville, Texas, passed away peacefully at Texoma Medical Center, Denison, Texas, on Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2024. 

Gwendolyn was born on Dec. 31, 1950 in Whitesboro, Texas to Noah Heffley and Helen (Springs) Heffley.  She was formerly employed at the Denton State Supported Living Center in the financial department.  

She was a Christian and attended the Refuge Church in Denison, Texas. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. 

Left to cherish her memory are her children; Lisa Sconce and Chad of Gainesville, Texas, and Leah Harwell and Anthony of Gainesville, Texas, her brother; Doug Heffley and Dena of Gainesville, Texas, two grandchildren; Hunter Sconce and Stormie Sconce, one great-grandchild; Bentlee Nance, other extended family and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Jonnie Mack Harwell in 2012 and her parents; Noah and Helen Heffley.

Graveside service will be held Monday, Feb. 19, 2024, 2 p.m. at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Collinsville, Texas with Pastor Larry Goodwin officiating. Interment will follow.  

Pallbearers will be Chad Sconce, Hunter Sconce, Doug Heffley, L.A. Bridges, Anthony Burket and, Henry Harrison.
