Elitha Marie Endres

Elitha Marie Endres (Neu) of Muenster, Texas passed away peacefully on January 30, 2024, at the age of 103 in Whitesboro, Texas, at the home of her daughter, Sally Ferguson. The eldest of five children, Elitha was born on June 30, 1920, to Mat and Rose Schmitt Neu of Lindsay, Texas. 

 

On November 11, 1941, Elitha married Raymond R. Endres of Muenster, Texas at Saint Peter’s Catholic Church in Lindsay. After their marriage, Elitha and Raymond made their home in Muenster, where they raised their nine children.

 

Elitha was well known throughout the Muenster community for her skill with needle and thread, especially when applied to the hundreds of intricately beaded Christmas stockings she made over the years for her family, friends and community.

 

A Rosary and Visitation will be held Saturday morning, February 3, 2024, at 9:30 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Muenster, Texas. Following the Rosary, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am with Father John Pacheco of St. Mary’s Catholic Church officiating.  Funeral arrangements by Scott Funeral Home.

 

Elitha was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Endres (Tiny), her sons, Jerome and Ted Endres, her daughter Claudia Taylor and her husband Dennis; her brothers, Paul and Alfred Neu, her sister Isabel Wimmer (Neu), and her great granddaughter Greta Rice.

 

Elitha is survived in life by her daughter-in-law Chieko Endres, wife of Jerome, Ron Endres and wife, Connie, Rachael Graves (Endres), Suzan Endres (Crow), Tim Endres and wife, Debbie, Susan Metzler and husband, Mark, Pat Endres and wife, Janice, and Sally Ferguson and husband, Jimmy; her sister Pat Henscheid and her sister-in-laws Lorene Neu and Eileen Endres; her grandchildren, Chris, Danny, Kenny, Heather, Ryan, Russell, Kristen, Erin, Teo, Taron, Courtney, Elisa, Mona, Megan, Krystal, Cassie, Jared, Scott, Trent, Kyle, Kody, Travis, Matthew, Hannah, and Brett; and her great grandchildren Daniel, Skyler, Phoenix, Colton, Maddie, Brooklyn, Lawson, Hadley, Bo, Teyhia, Zachariah, Trinity, Chelsea, Tristan, Karly, Bernadette, Nathan, Eva, Emery, Trevor, Brynlee, Lorelei, Jude, Liam, Ethan, Morgan, Lucas, Kelsey, Mathew, Elizabeth, Raymond, Crew, and Hazell Grace.

 

In lieu of flowers, Elitha requested donations be made to hospice organizations, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, or remembrance masses for the deceased.
