Judithe Darlene Moore

Judithe Darlene Moore, 79, of Whitesboro, Texas went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, January 29, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Darlene was born on February 21, 1944 in Sherman, Texas to Jack Mershon Suddath, Sr. and Mildred Louise (Laws) Suddath. She was a graduate of Whitesboro High School class of 1962 and went on to get her Master’s degree in English and Math from Texas Women’s University in Denton. She married Glenn Arden Moore, Jr. in Whitesboro on August 31, 1963. Darlene taught school at Piner in Sherman for many years, she also taught English to Japanese students at TWU. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Whitesboro where she taught and attended Sunday school classes. Darlene had a beautiful singing voice and sang with various choral groups and translated songs into sign language for the hearing impaired. She loved the Lord and loved sharing Him with others, she was a fierce prayer warrior and

spent many hours in the study of God’s Word. Her greatest love was her family, she cherished her husband, her children, and her grandchildren. The time spent with them, and the great-grandchildren as they came along were some of her most cherished times.

 

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Glenn Moore of Whitesboro; daughter, Leslie White and husband, Brandon of Collinsville; son, Jeffrey Moore and wife, Julie of Ft. Worth; daughter-in-law, Julie Moore of Euless; grandchildren, Kaly Knight and husband Ben; Kristyn Stane and husband, Justin, Bethany Anderson, Megan Moore, Jonathan Moore, Jamie Clark and husband, Haden, Joshua Moore and wife, ZoéAnna, Amanda Moore, Jenica Moore, and Jordyn Moore, great-grandchildren, Elam, Arrie, Harvie, Anderson, Hazel and Elliana, sister, June West, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members. 

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Mildred Suddath, son, Glenn “Bebo” Moore III, son-in-law, David Anderson, great-granddaughter, Ayla Grace Knight, brother, Jack “Chigger” Suddath Jr., and sister, Shirley Strong.

Funeral services honoring Darlene will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at First Baptist Church of Whitesboro, officiated by Rev. Rick Carney and Rev. Don Russell.  There will be a private family interment at Oakwood cemetery.  A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro.
