Norma Laura Lowery, 84, of Collinsville, Texas passed away on Monday, Jan. 22, 2024, in Fort Worth, Texas.
She was born on June 29, 1939, in Madill, Oklahoma to the late William Everett Lone and Della Mae Duke Lone.
Norma was raised in Madill where she graduated from Madill High School in 1957.
She married Willis Lemuel Lowery on May 18, 1957, in Madill and he preceded her in death on Nov. 25, 2019.
Norma lived in Arlington, Texas for several years before moving to Collinsville, Texas where she lived the rest of her life.
She was a member of the Collinsville Bible Baptist Church, and she enjoyed crocheting, quilting, sewing, cooking, baking but most of all she loved being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children Don Lowery, Whitesboro, Texas; Trena Milburn and husband Mark, Mineral Wells, Texas; grandchildren Paul Cotter Jr. and wife Brandy, Midlothian, Texas; Eric Cotter and wife Samantha, Bryson, Texas; Dalton Milburn, Burleson, Texas; great grandchildren Dillon, Nathan, Tyler, Emma, Trevor, Kamryn and Violet; brothers-in-law Willie Lowery and wife Mary; Jody Lowery; sisters-in-law Shirley Johnson and Mollie Lowery; stepbrothers Horace Sprouse and Doris Sprouse; as well as many nephews and nieces.
She was preceded by her parents, husband, son Alan Lowery, son-in-law; Paul David Cotter, sister Nancy Adair, stepbrothers Delmar and Spunky Sprouse, brothers and sisters-in-law Lloyd Lowery, Bud Lowery, Joy Lowery, Buck Lowery, Wanda Lone, Virgil Lone, Terry Sprouse, Pat Sprouse, Joe Adair, Ruth Sprouse and Darlene Sprouse.
Visitation will be Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024, from 8-10 a.m. at the Watts Memorial Chapel, Madill, Oklahoma.
The funeral service will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024, at the Watts Memorial Chapel, Madill, Oklahoma officiated by Barry Roberts.
Interment will be at Woodberry-Forest Cemetery, Madill, Oklahoma.
Service will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Oklahoma. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
Casket bearers will be Paul Cotter, Eric Cotter, Matt Cotter, Tyler Cotter and Trevor Cotter.
