William O. “Bill” Hunt, 91, passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2025 with his wife of 65 years by his side.  

Bill was born on November 14, 1933 in Blue Ball, Arkansas to Buck and Ezelle (Taylor) Hunt, He was a graduate of Bowie High School and received his master’s degree in business from the University of North Texas along with an honorary Doctorate.  He married Grace Schmidt on March 11, 1960 in Denton, Texas.  Bill was the CEO of several companies and was on the Board of Directors for over 21 companies. He enjoyed traveling the world with Grace and experiencing other cultures during their travels.  He loved sports and spending time outdoors. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, and four siblings.

Bill is survived by his wife of 65 years, Grace Hunt, daughter, Connie Hunt, and sister, Helen Beasley, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Mt. Tabor Cemetery at 13431 FM 901 Sadler, Texas 76264.

Graveside services honoring Bill will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 11, 2025 at Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Sandusky, officiated by Mack Rodgers.  Currently no formal visitation is scheduled.  Arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro.
