CJ Vannoy, 91, of Whitesboro, Texas was called to his heavenly home on Sunday, March 23, 2025.

CJ was born on July 7, 1933 in Ethel, Texas to John Clifton and Velma (Horne) Vannoy. He was a graduate of Whitesboro High School and the University of North Texas. He worked for Braniff Airlines, and Intercity Investments, finally retiring at 83. He enjoyed gardening, flowers, landscape design, and art.  His greatest love though was saved for his family.  CJ was a member of the North Union Church of Christ.

He is survived by his son, Damon Vannoy and wife, Diane of Whitesboro, daughter, Whitney Pearce and husband, Dale, of Dallas; daughter, Jennifer Ryan and husband, Mike of Dallas; grandchildren, Clifton Vannoy and wife, Taylor of Pottsboro; Logan Pearce of Ft. Benning, GA; Jackson Pearce of San Diego, CA; Sydney Ryan, Natalie Kennedy and husband Kyle, and Sean Ryan all of Dallas; sister, Sanra Cheatham and husband, Jerry of Denton; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
CJ was preceded in death by his parents, John and Velma Vannoy, brother, James Vannoy, sister, Betty Gaddie and brother-in-law, Grady Gaddie.

Pallbearers were Damon Vannoy, Clifton Vannoy, Dale Pearce, Jackson Pearce, Mike Ryan, and Sean Ryan.

Funeral services honoring CJ were held on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at 1:30 pm at Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro, officiated by Mike Bentley and Ryan Mangum.  

A time of visitation was held on Thursday, March 27, 2025 one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
