Wanda Brewer Blankenship, of Gainesville, passed away Feb. 11, 2025. 

She was 97. 

Wanda was born June 9, 1927, to Carl D. Vannoy and Estelle Davis. She passed away Feb. 11, 2025 in Gainesville, Texas.

She married Don Brewer in 1949. He passed way in 1983.

She married Jim Blankenship May 22, 1994.

Wanda was a Speech Pathologist for the Dallas School District for 28 years.

Wanda and Jim are members of Collinsville United Methodist Church. They were avid square dancers.

Wanda is survived by her husband Jim Blankenship, children Donna Turbeville of Gainesville, Mark Brewer of Carrollton, grandchildren Jason Smith and Eric Carter of Gainesville, Justin Brewer of Carrollton and Jacki Brewer of Pflugerville, great-grandchildren Jaylee and Jessee Smith of Gainesville, Leela and Kyle Carter of Gainesville and Clara Brewer of Carrollton.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Bobby and Gerald Dan, and sisters Carlene and Cherry Ann.
