Tamara 'Tammy' Juanita McCarrell
Tamara "Tammy" Juanita McCarrell, 60, of Sadler, Texas, was called home for a heavenly reunion from sudden, unforeseen, natural causes on Friday, Dec. 20, 2024.
Tamara was born Sept. 26, 1964 in Atoka, Oklahoma to Juanita Joyce McCarrell (Miller) and Alford Eldridge. She was part of the drill team in Tom Bean. She graduated high school in Tushka, Oklahoma, in 1983.
She attended Grayson College from 2014- 2016 and earned her Associates for Applied Science Business Management and Certificate for Business Management.
Tamara was currently teaching in S&S CISD Middle School.
The last year has brought her joy, staying with her current boyfriend, Gary Peacock. She loved being able to go fishing and crabbing, going to the gym and spending time with her family and friends.
Tamara was preceded in death by her son Keith John Brandon Cook; her father Alford Eldridge; her late husband Leslie Allen "Les" Winter; her aunts Delores "Toodlum" Miller and Gail Warren; and her grandparents Edward and Faye Miller.
Tamara is survived by daughter Miranda Leigh McCarrell and grandson Zachariah Lee of Southmayd, Texas; son Nathan Leslie McCarrell of Sadler, Texas; daughter Jaelyn Nacole Mahboub of McKinney, Texas; parents Jerry and Joyce McCarrell of Sadler, Texas; sisters Brenda Mayo and husband Gerald of Whitesboro, Texas and Terry McCarrell-Maxfeild and husband Jeff of Tyler, Texas; brothers Gary McCarrell and wife Patty of Whitesboro, Texas, Dee McCarrell and wife Candy of Bullard, Texas, and Chris McCarrell and wife Shania of Sadler, Texas; aunts Wanda Dollar Morgan of Denison, Texas and Doris Gaye Callicoat and husband David of Whitesboro, Texas; and many nieces and nephews, and greats; and many, many friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held 1-4 p.m. Jan. 25 at the S&S High School or Middle School. Specific location details are still pending.
