With only seven Saturdays between now and Christmas Eve, Christmas break will be here before we know it. The Whitesboro Parks and Recreation Department (PARD) has made plans for the holiday season.
The PARD will sponsor a Kids’ Christmas Workshop on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This special event at the Jimmie O. Rector Community Center is for children ages 6-12 years old.
Attendees will make a gift and decoration, and there will be games, crafts and music. Lunch will be provided.
This workshop is a great opportunity for parents to steal a few hours before the holiday without the kids to do some Christmas shopping, decorating or baking.
Seating is limited, so registration is required. Registration deadline is Wednesday, Dec. 4. The cost is $10 (includes all supplies and lunch).
To register for the Christmas Workshop, visit the PARD at the Jimmie O. Rector Community Center at 400 Wilson Street, or send a completed form and fee to P.O. Box 340, Whitesboro, Texas 76273.
