The Whitesboro High School (WHS) Fine Arts Department will host a special Veteran’s Day program on Nov. 11 for all Whitesboro Veterans.
This district-wide program will begin at 8:15 a.m. with breakfast at Whitesboro Intermediate School (WIS). At 9 a.m., everyone will be escorted to the high school for an hour-long celebration beginning at 9:30 a.m.
The program will be held in the gymnasium with the high school student body.
Middle school and elementary students will lead pledges, high school students will perform readings, and choirs and bands from Whitesboro’s different schools will perform patriotic music.
The program will conclude at 10:30 a.m.
“This year, the Fine Arts teachers are working together to build more of a cohesive department,” Fine Arts Coordinator Tonya Harper said. “We are all excited to come together and do this for our community.”
The Veterans’ Day program is open to all Veterans in the community. Attendees do not need to have a child enrolled in the school district to participate.
While this event is entirely free for Veterans to attend, the district requests that all attendees RSVP to ensure plenty of food and seating for guests.
