Bearcats beat Madison 
The Whitesboro Bearcat football team picked up another district win Friday night at with a 35-20 final on the road over Dallas Madison. 
Sophomore Brayden Bomar led the Bearcat attack with seven catches for 105 yards and a touchdown.
Camron Howard had 14 carries for 58 yards and two TDs.
Quarterback Colt Fagan went 10-of-20 passing for 148 yards and a touchdown.
He also ran for two touchdowns.
The win took Whitesboro to 4-2 on the year and 2-0 in district play. 
They host Palmer tonight for sole possession of first place.

Pirates tame Dragons, ranked 2nd in state
The Collinsville Pirate football opened team district play with a commanding shutout of Chico Friday on the road with a 44-0 final. 
The Pirates remained undefeated on the year and moved up to second in the DCTF poll 2A/DII state poll. 
They have surpassed the district rival Muenster Hornets who are ranked third.
They outgained the Chico Dragons 552 yards to 41.
The Pirate defense held the Dragons to only 21 yards rushing on 25 attempt, 20 yards passing and three first downs.
Sophomore quarterback J.J. Jenkins completed 27-of-36 passes for 385 yards with four touchdowns and an interception.
Chad Davidson had three catches for 74 yards and a touchdown.
Garrett Trevino had a 61-yard TD catch and also scored on the ground. 
Jaxon Spivey finished with 108 yards on eight receptions.
Landry Spivey and Caysen Schafer also had touchdown catches. 
Chase Sheppard had 10 carries for 81 yards and a TD.
Brandon Cantu had 12 carries for 66 yards and a 55-yard catch for Collinsville.
Collinsville looks to extend the season run tonight when they host the Lindsay Knights.

Bulldogs edge Whitewright
The Tioga Bulldog football team extended to 3-0 in district play with a 34-27 road win Friday night against Whitewright. 
Quarterback Rocky Urich completed 31-of-46 passes for 419 yards and three touchdowns.
He also ran for 51 yards.
Gage Anderson had 13 carries for 85 yards and a score. 
He also caught a touchdown pass. 
Johnny Dorpinghaus landed a pick-six and finished with nine catches for 152 yards.
Jake David had 105 yards on 10 catches.
Austin Norwood and Sam Mott both had touchdown catches. 
Greeley McAden had in four catches for 52 yards.
Tioga has a bye tonight and will host Alvord Oct. 25 in homecoming action.

Tioga ladies top Trenton
Lady Bulldog volleyball team top Trenton in five sets (25-23, 25-14, 23-25, 19-25, 15-11) at home Friday night in district play. 
The win took Tioga to 18-23 on the year and 3-3 in district. 
They hold on to the fourth-place ranking in district play and traveled to Sam Rayburn Tuesday night. Results were not available as of press time.

Lady Pirates topple Tom Bean
The Collinsville Lady Pirate volleyball team topped Tom Bean in three sets (25-15, 25-19, 25-9) Friday night on the road. 
The win took the Lady Pirates to 17-18 on the year, 4-2 in district and secure second-place in the district’s rankings.
Collinsville traveled to Trenton Tuesday night. Results were not available as of press time.

Lady Rams lose to Pottsboro 
The S&S Lady Ram volleyball team fell to Pottsboro Friday night on the road in three sets (25-19, 25-29, 25-13).
The loss took S&S  to 15-20 on the season and 2-6 in district. 
The Lady Rams traveled to Blue Ridge Tuesday. Results were not available as of press time.

Whitesboro’s Beam wins district XC title 
Whitesboro’s Aubrey Beam won the District 10-3A Cross Country title last week in Boyd. 
She led the Lady Bearcats to a second-place team finish.
Bearcat Zander Brannan also had a top 10 finish, on the boys’ side, to qualify for regionals.
The Class 3A Region II meet will be Oct. 22 at Lynn Creek Park in Grand Prairie.
Whitesboro earned 45 points in second place.
Pilot Point took gold with 36 points. 
Paradise placed third with 80 points.
Beam’s winning time was 11:46.28— more than 10 seconds ahead of Pilot Point’s Ava Smith. 
Reagan Downs finished fourth for Whitesboro in 12:19.02.
Karen Melchor was 11th in 12:47.78.
Tammy Lopez placed 13th with a time of 12:55.18.
Winley Turpin was 16th in 13:00.35.
Jasmin Hernandez was 22nd in 13:10.04.
Sydnie Duhon was 31st in 13:35.57.
On the boys side, Whitesboro took sixth place with 138 points. 
Valley View took first with 52 points.
Boyd was the runner-up with 60 points.
Pilot Point placed third with 66 points.
Brannan led the Bearcats with a sixth-place finish in 17:22.12.
Jesus Hernandez-Cortez was 20th in 18:33.99.
Aidan Brinlee placed 33rd with a time of 19:28.13.
Jayden Jobert was 36th in 19:45.38.
Chase Timulson was 43rd in 22:37.36.
Raymond Malik was 46th in 25:42.62.


Ram runners on to regionals
S&S runners Parker Bigham, Hunter Bigham and Dandree Meeks, last week, qualified for the Class 3A Region II cross country meet, which will be Oct. 22 at Lynn Creek Park in Grand Prairie.
Pottsboro won the boys’ team crown with a total of 43 points.
They finished nine ahead of Leonard. 
Gunter earned third with 60 points.
S&S was fourth with 62 points.
Parker Bigham led S&S with a seventh-place finish in 18:15.81.
Hunter Bigham was ninth in 18:26.99.
Donaven Gingras was 12th in 18:46.28. 
Matthew Flores finished 15th in 19:21.29.
Aiden Hickerson was 20th in 20:21.29.
Jacob Carter was 22nd in 20:46.85.
Elisha Gentry was 27th with a time of 22:00.15.
Howe took the team title with 41 points.
Pottsboro was the runner-up with 67 points.
Bells placed third with 82 points.
S&S took fifth with 113 points.
Meeks led S&S with a fourth-place finish in 13:32.85.
Kenzi Perry was 18th in 15:12.84.
Ayvah Gentry placed 29th in 15:58.79.
Hannah Foster was 31st in 16:10.26.
Lillian Vickery placed 34th in 16:54.88.
Trinity Vidrine was 37th in 17:38.98.
Justess Trevino was 39th in 20:00.
