On Saturday, Oct. 12 from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., First United Methodist Church (FUMC) of Whitesboro will host a workshop entitled “WholeHearted Healing.”
Guest speaker Natalie Craver, a licensed therapist specializing in trauma, overcoming anxiety and shame, will lead a morning of inspiration, music and fellowship. She will also help attendees explore tools and techniques to facilitate healing in one’s heart.
Craver uses trauma-informed techniques such as yoga, somatic experiencing, EMDR, neurobiology and internal family systems to treat and meet clients where they are.
She uses storytelling to help validate experiences and let listeners and clients know they are not alone. Craver is passionate about creating connections, understanding self-compassion and healing as a whole in mind, body and spirit.
WholeHearted Healing promises an opportunity to understand and connect with the parts of oneself that have gone unloved and misunderstood. Attendees are sure to leave this event with resources and tools to help continue their healing journey, with a connection to these newfound parts, and the understanding of how to create self-compassion.
“Whitesboro FUMC has been a part of the Whitesboro community for over 150 years, and has a huge heart for its residents,” event coordinator Sherri Smith said. “We’re really looking forward to this event.”
WholeHearted Healing will be held at FUMC located at 122 S. Union Street. Tickets are $15 each and include the workshop, a light brunch and a giftbag of items that reflect the event’s theme. FUMC Pastor Dana Cocker (who relocated to Whitesboro FUMC in July) will be in attendance and looks forward to meeting members of the community.
