The Whitesboro Fire Department (WFD) recently reported that Firefighter/EMTs Austin Green and Brett Ferguson have successfully completed their one-year probationary period.
Additionally, firefighters Cody Woolsey, Seth Knight, Johnathan Sheffield, Kevin Walton and Josh Velten all completed a weeklong training at the TEEX Annual Municipal Fire School in
College Station, Texas.

Crews have also recently trained on an acquired structure located at 103 South Jordan Street, a house that recently burned and is about to be torn down.

Lastly, Lieutenant Michael Parish is attending a Service Area Risk Reduction class at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, Maryland, a prestigious school for fire service professionals across the nation.

Through continuing education, the WFD is better prepared to provide the level of care and service that the community of Whitesboro deserves.
