Lake Kiowa residents and their guests will have the opportunity to learn ways to improve their health during a special free Health Fair sponsored by North Texas Medical Center and the Lake Kiowa Chapel Club.
The Health Fair will be held on Thursday, June 27 from 4-6 p.m. inside the Lake Kiowa Lodge. Free health screenings will be offered during this time. In addition, attendees will receive information on Primary Care, Physical Therapy, Orthopedics, Nutrition, Women’s Health, Mammograms, Pediatrics, Cardiac Rehab, Surgical Services, Diabetes Education, Immunizations, Wound Care and Volunteer Opportunities. Employees of NTMC, including doctors and nurses, will be on hand to answer questions.
“We are excited to co-sponsor this event for the Lake Kiowa community,” NTMC Marketing Director Darin Allred said. “We have a great team of healthcare professionals at NTMC that love sharing their knowledge to help improve the health of people in our area. I can’t wait for residents of Lake Kiowa to meet our newest doctors, along with the nurse practitioners and other clinical staff that will be on hand.”
Attendees can also register to win a $100 gift certificate to the Pro Shop.
North Texas Medical Center and the Lake Kiowa Chapel Club have a long history together.
“The Lake Kiowa Chapel Club has been a wonderful supporter of the NTMC Foundation throughout the years, specifically helping us stock our chapel with Bibles and other literature for people who need spiritual guidance,” Allred said. “Recently, they have also donated gift bags for patients to help make their stay in the hospital a little more enjoyable. We truly appreciate the way the members of the club support their local community hospital.”
