Whitesboro’s First Baptist Church is set to resound with the melodies of yesteryear as the Whitesboro Community Choir presents “A Musical Flashback.”
Spanning three distinct musical eras, this concert promises to transport audiences through time, evoking nostalgia and celebrating the timeless power of music. Mark your calendars for Thursday, May 9, 2024, at 7 p.m. as the choir takes center stage at 124 Center St. Whitesboro.
“A Musical Flashback” weaves a tapestry of beloved tunes from the 1920’s to the 1970’s, showcasing the enduring appeal of each era’s iconic sounds. From the jazz-infused rhythms of the 1920s-1940s to the rock ‘n’ roll revolution of the ‘50s and ‘60s and culminating with a Beatles Medley that traverses the vibrant landscape of the ‘70s, audiences are in for an unforgettable musical experience.
Behind the scenes, the concert’s success is upheld by the generous support of its sponsors. EXP Realty The Meals Team - represented by Colby Meals and Cory Meals, Chris Jefferson’s House of Brews Coffee House, esteemed patrons Marilyn & Stephen Pospisil, along with The History Club of Whitesboro, have all rallied behind this celebration of community and culture.
Adding to the excitement, a Jazz Ensemble will also grace the stage, performing two pieces of their own and accompanying the choir on another. There will also be a small instrumental ensemble that will accompany the choir on an arrangement of “Someone to Watch Over Me.”
