Lady Cats pummel Paradise
The Whitesboro Lady Cat softball team moved to 11-1 in district play with a 15-0 shutout of Paradise Friday night.
Avery Howerton went 3-for-3, walked, drove in two and scored four times.
Bradi Gallaway went 3-for-4 with a triple, drove in a run and scored three times.
Maci Graves threw a three-hitter and went 2-for-3, drove in a run and scored twice.
Tylar Olsen went 2-for-2 and scored twice.
Makayla Wolf doubled, drove in two and scored.
Reagan Downs singled, drove in a run and scored once.
Melanie Baldwin walked twice, drove in a run and scored once for Whitesboro.

Lady Rams pound Ponder
The S&S Lady Ram softball team advanced to 10-2 in district with an 8-1 win over Ponder Friday night at home.
Hayden Mowrey allowed an unearned run on three hits with 15 strikeouts and four walks.
She also also doubled, walked, drove in a run and scored once.
Lana Walters went 2-for-2 with a triple, walked and scored three times.
Hayden Kight went 3-for-4 with a double and drove in a run.
Denley Blankenship doubled, walked and scored twice.
Bri Fowler singled, drove in a run and scored once.

C’ville tops Tioga
The Collinsville Lady Pirate softball team held on to their second-place district seed with an 8-4 win over Tioga on the road Friday night.
Audrey Miller went 3-for-4 with a double and scored twice for Collinsville.
Devyn Elvington went 3-for-4 and scored twice.
Jaydee Matlock went 3-for-3 and scored twice.
Reece Elvington went 2-for-3, drove in a run and scored once.
Tessa Vannoy singled, drove in a run and scored once.
Shelby Derzapf singled, drove in two runs and earned her 500th career strikeout.
The win took Collinsville to 18-9 on the year and 9-3 in district.
They hosted Lindsay on Tuesday night. Results were not available as of press time.
Taffi Adams went 2-for-4, drove in a run and scored once for Tioga.
Kyndall Whitley was 2-for-3 with a double.
Ella Norwood doubled, drove in a run and scored once.

Bella Dennis walked and scored once for Tioga.
The loss took Tioga to 8-4 in district play.

Bearcats fall to Boyd
The Whitesboro Bearcat baseball team lost to Boyd at home Friday night with a 9-3 final.
Landon Newkirk had a home run and three RBIs.
Maxx Parker singled, walked and scored once.
Brayden Bomar walked and scored twice.
Dax Martin, Camden Stephens and Max Hinsley all singled and walked.
The loss took Whitesboro to 14-10 on the year and 7-3 in district play.

Rams down to Ponder
The S&S Ram baseball team got run-ruled by Ponder at home Friday night with a 15-2 loss in six innings.
Brightin McNabb went 2-for-3 and drove in a run.
Eli Nortman and Kenny Melton each singled and scored once.
Paig Morgan and Nik Roseberry both singled.
The loss took S&S to 4-13 on the year and still searching for a district win.

Pirates rout Cards
The Collisnville Pirate baseball team picked up their 10th district win of the season with a 13-0 shutout of Savoy Friday night on the road in five innings.
Colin Barnes went 2-for-2, walked, drove in two, scored twice.
He combined with Logan Jenkins and Garrett Trevino on a two-hitter.
Reed Patterson went 2-for-3 with a double, walked, drove in two and scored.
Peyton Davidson was 2-for-3 and scored twice.
Landon Carpenter singled, walked twice, drove in a run and scored three times.
Rylan Newman doubled, walked and scored twice.
Jaxon Jenkins singled and drove in two.
Parker Wells singled, drove in a run and scored once for Collinsville.

Cats, Lady Cats dominate at Area meet
Both Whitesboro High School varsity track teams won the 9-3A/10-3A area meet they hosted last week and several Bearcats moved onto the 3A Region II meet April 19-20 at Whitehouse.
The Bearcats took the team title with 116 points.
Collin Phillips won the discus with a throw of 135 feet, nine inches and the shot put with a throw of 51 feet, six inches.
Micah Velton was took second with a heave of 45 feet, 6.5 inches.
Gage Brown won the high jump by while Aiden Brinley was fifth.
Zander Brannan took gold in the pole vault with a leap of 12 feet, two inches.
The 800 relay of Wyatt Winchester, Colt Fagan, Max Hinsley and Brett Donaldson took gold with a time of 1:32.13.
The 1,600 relay of Fagan, Max Hinsley, Karter Sluder and Maxx Parker also won first with a time of 3:24.67.
Sluder took second in the 400 with 51.17 seconds.
Winchester was third in the 300 hurdles while Jack Hinsley placed fourth.
Jack Hinsley finished fourth in the 110 hurdles.
The 400 relay of Winchester, Sluder, Fagan and Parker was fifth.
The Lady Cat track team took first place with 94 points.
S&S finished 13th.
Olivia Hildebrand won gold in the shot put with a throw of 37 feet, seven inches and the discus with 138 feet, seven inches.
Brylee Weddle won gold in the 400 with a time of 58.95 seconds.
Isabel Gabbert took first in the 300 hurdles and was the runner-up in the high jump.
Madison Pokluda took fifth.
The 1,600 relay of Shelby Riddle, Aubrey Beam, Gabbert and Weddle took first with a time of 4:06.11.
Jenna Cole was the runner-up in the pole vault.
Gabbert also placed third in the triple jump. Beam was fifth.
Beam also won bronze in the 800.
The 400 relay of La’Ney Powell, Gabbert, Riddle and Weddle placed sixth.
S&S Lady Ram Brynn Blevins took second in the 100 hurdles and moved on the Regionals.
Pirates, Bulldogs run at Area
Both Collinsvlle and Tioga track teams showed promise at the 13-2A/14-2A Area Meet last week in Honeygrove.
The Tioga Boys took third with 72 points and Collinsville was placed 11th.
Collinsville’s Nick Cox took third in the discus with a throw of 133 feet, two inches and seventh in the shot put with a throw of 39 feet, 10 inches.
Russell Carney was fifth in the shot put with 40 feet, 6.5 inches.
Fernando Perez finished fifth in the 3,200 and sixth in the 1,600.
The 1,600 relay of Chad Davidson, George Light IV, Brandon Cantu and Cash Morgan was fifth.
Light was sixth in the 800. Brandon Cantu was seventh.
The 400 relay of Garrett Trevino, Peyton Davidson, Chad Davidson and Morgan was sixth.
Tioga’s Sam Mott won the 400 in 51.80 seconds and the 110 hurdles in 15.57 seconds.
Jaxton Dejernett was sixth in 16.79 seconds.
Mott also took second in the 200-meter dash at 22.96.
Austin Norwood was fourth.
Kyson Kirkland won silver in the 800 with a time of 2:04.36.
The 800 relay of Jonathan Hernandez, Justin Arrington, Jake David and Norwood took third in 1:33.50.
The 1,600 relay of Arrington, Kirkland, David and Norwood took bronze in 3:31.32.
David also was third in the 400.
Alexis Santoyo-Pina was sixth and seventh in the 1,600.
Garrison Black was eighth in 5:15.80.
James Culp was seventh in the 100-meter.
The Lady Bulldogs were the runner-up with 82 points as a team while Collinsville placed 10th.
Tioga’s Lindsey Byler won the shot put with a throw of 34 feet, seven inches.
She also placed fifth in the discus with 86 feet, one inch.
Savannah Adams was the runner-up in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.84 seconds.
Justice Babbitt took second in the 300 hurdles in a time of 50.35 seconds.
The 400 relay of Babbitt, Bella Dennis, Ella Norwood and Kyndall Whitley won silver with a time 50.90 seconds.
The 800 relay of Sydney Reynolds, Dennis, Norwood and Whitley was the runner-up with 1:49.53.
The 1,600 relay of Babbitt, Dennis, Norwood and Whitley was second with 4:13.60.
Whitley was fourth in the long jump.
Reynolds was sixth in the 400.
Rebecca Parks was sixth in the 100 hurdles.
Kendall Kearns was eighth in the high jump.
Collinsville’s Addisyn McDonnell placed third in the discus with a throw of 101 feet, seven inches.
Reese Patterson was third in the 100 hurdles with a time of 17.70 seconds.
The 1,600 relay of Alison Harwick, Patterson, Ashleigh Ortowski and Jaydee Matlock was fourth in 4:22.81.
The 800 relay of Harwick, Ortowski, Tessa Vannoy and Matlock was fifth.
Lady Rams avenge Cats
The S&S Lady Ram Softball team evened the district slate against Whitesboro with a 12-2 win over Whitesboro last Tuesday at home. The loss ended the Lady Bearcats’ 38-game district winning streak.
Hayden Mowrey threw a two-hitter, allowing an earned run with seven strikeouts and four walks.
She also went 3-for-3, walked, had 3 RBIS and scored three times.
Hannah Foster went 2-for-4 with three RBIs.
Makayla Adams was 2-for-3, walked and scored twice.
Lily Nunn was 2-for-4 with a double, drove in a run and scored.
Denley Blankenship doubled, walked twice, drove in two and scored once.
Tynslie Adcock walked twice, drove in a run and scored once.
Lana Walters and Bri Fowler each singled and scored once.
Bradi Gallaway and Reagan Downs each singled, walked and scored once for Whitebsoro.
Melanie Baldwin singled.
