The Whitesboro Parks and Recreation Department (PARD) will host a pre-registration next week for its 2024 summer camps.

There are eight different camps over the summer that are organized around a theme and will include activities like art projects, crafts, games, music, snacks and a private pool party on Fridays.  The pre-registration period begins on Monday, April 22 and will last through Friday, April 26 (8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, or until 7 p.m. on Tuesday) at the Jimmie O Rector Community Center.

All camps are free for children ages six to 11 years. Children can register for two camps. During the pre-registration period, campers choose their top three selections, and they will be placed in two of their choices.

Full registration opens on May 1 and will close when all camps are full. Participants should make every attempt to register early. The summer camp schedule ends on July 26.
Most camps will be Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon, beginning June 3. There will be one three-day camp.

Each camp will be organized around a central theme with corresponding arts and craft projects, games and snacks each day. Camp themes include the following: Olympics Week, Disney Week, Art Week, Harry Potter Week, Animal Planet (three-day camp), Art Week 2, STEM Week and Christmas in July.
