The Callisburg Education Foundation (CEF) had the honor of visiting teachers, staff and students at the Callisburg Independent School District (CISD) to present grants to several exceptional educators who are dedicated to making a positive impact on CISD students.
These grants were awarded to teachers who demonstrated a commitment to innovation and excellence in their application to the board. The Foundation is thrilled to recognize and support the hard work and dedication of these outstanding teachers who are striving to create new and exciting opportunities for their students. The grants provided will help fund innovative teacher and campus-initiated programs and projects that will benefit the entire CISD community.
The board held a Prize Party on Friday, Feb. 23 at each campus that included cheerleaders, band, balloons, large checks and more to present the teachers a well-earned celebration.
CEF is proud to have received numerous applications from educators eager to enhance the educational experience for students at CISD. The foundation is committed to assisting in raising funds to launch these programs and projects, with a focus on fostering creativity, critical thinking and student engagement.
The grants included funds for flexible seating, phonetic awareness, reading skills and writing and a countertop aquaculture system that can be used for many years to come.
Funds will also provide a digital compound microscope with LCD tablet, Lingo pens to assist bilingual students, a color printer for the journalism department and several other programs to further help CISD students flourish.
