On Sunday, March 17, OneChurch will launch two Sunday church service times at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.

OneChurch in Whitesboro feels led to keep their doors open to those in the community and those that are expected to join with the growth of the city. For over six years, OneChurch has been able to open its doors to the community and provide only one church service time (10:30 a.m.) on Sunday mornings. Now they have decided to make this move to two services on Sundays.

Just as council members, contractors and engineers have mentioned during past City Council meetings, growth is coming to Whitesboro. This growth is leading many in the community to prepare. Pastor Will Rupert, Lead Pastor at OneChurch said they welcome all.

“We’re not trying to build the biggest church in town, we’re called to build the kingdom,” Rupert said.

Amy Murphy, Children’s Ministry Assistant, has served at OneChurch for almost two years. Since she has attended OneChurch, she has seen the church grow in numbers.

“OneChurch has definitely grown. Kids and adults of all ages want to feel loved, be seen and be heard,” Murphy said.

Many children attend the different programs the church has to offer. OneChurch not only serves on Sundays, but offers adults a Bible study and prayer night on Wednesday nights.
Find all their programs with days and times on the church’s website at www.onechurchwhitesboro.org.

While parents are in their group, high school teens, middle schoolers and elementary aged children can attend groups for their different ages. Pastor Rupert said with so many people coming and needing a place to call home, OneChurch encourages all to find a place to call home whether it is at OneChurch or elsewhere.

“We’ve had many times where we’ve encouraged people that don’t feel like OneChurch was ‘home’ to go plug in at some of the amazing other churches around here in town because the spirit of God has placed them [in Whitesboro] to use their talents and gifts for the kingdom,” Rupert said.

Throughout the year, OneChurch prepares themselves with different opportunities to simply serve the community. This month, they are gearing up for their sixth annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 30 from 2-3 p.m. The egg hunt is hosted for the entire community and will be held at Godwin Park located at 400 Wilson Street in Whitesboro. This event will include free food, free pictures with the Easter bunny and over 8,000 eggs for children to hunt.

“We thrive in community. Come as you are and see what God has for you,” Murphy said.
