C’ville ladies fall to Lipan in Regional Tourney

The Collinsville Lady Pirate basketball team ended a historic post season run Friday with a 60-37 loss to Lipan in the opening round of the Regional Tournament. 
Addisyn McDonnell led the Pirate effort with 10 points.
Jaydee Matlock had eight points.
Ashleigh Ortowski had seven points.
Reese Patterson offered five points.
The Lady Pirates ended the year 19-12 and made the longest playoff run in recent program history.

Bearcats up and down in Panther Creek Tourney

The Whitesboro Bearcat baseball team picked up an 8-4 win over Dallas Kimball in the Panther Creek Tournament before ending the weekend with a 10-0 loss to Gunter. 
Jacob Knight singled, walked twice, drove in a run and scored twice in the win over Kimball. 
Tracy Brees singled, walked twice and scored.
Brayden Crockett singled, walked and drove in a run.
Maxx Parker walked twice and scored twice.
The Bearcats left town 2-2 on the year after a 3-2 win against Frisco Panther Creek.
The Bearcats also suffered a 15-4 against Bells.

Lady Cats beat Frisco Liberty

The Whitesboro Lady Cat softball closed the first day of the Denton Tournament last week with a 6-1 win over Frisco Liberty. 
Bradi Gallaway was 3-for-3 with two homers, a double, four RBI and scored three runs.
Maci Graves threw a two-hitter with seven strikeouts and a walk.
Reagan Downs was 2-for-2 and scored one run,
Avery Howerton singled and drove in a run.
Keely Hartless walked and scored once. 
The win took the Lady Cats to 5-3 on the year.  

Lady Pirates top Pottsboro

The Collinsville Lady Pirate softball team beat Pottsboro 11-3 in four inning late last week in the Era-Valley View Tournament. 
Shelby Derzapf was 3-for-3, walked, drove in two, scored and earned the win as the 
Audrey Miller was 3-for-4 with a double, drove in a run and scored.
Devyn Elvington was 2-for-3 with two doubles, walked, drove in two and scored twice.
Haidyn Bryson was 2-for-3, drove in a run and scored.
Tessa Vannoy was 2-for-2, walked and scored twice.
Bailey Miller walked, drove in a run and scored.
Denise Guidera walked, drove in a run and scored twice.
Chelsey Hernandez walked and drove in two runs for Collinsville.
The win took Collinsville to 6-1 on the season.

Lady Rams fall to Burk

The S&S Lady Ram softball team lost 2-1 last week to Burkburnett in the Brock Tournament. 
Lana Walters was 2-for-3 with two doubles and scored the lone S&S run.
Hayden Mowrey allowed two runs on four hits with nine strikeouts and a wal.
Makayla Adams was 2-for-2, walked and drove in Walter’s run.
Hayden Kight singled and walked.
The win took S&S to 3-3 on the year. 
Lady Cats beat Braswell

Lady Cats dominate in Denton Tourney

The Whitesboro Lady Cat softball team finished the Denton ISD Tournament on Saturday with a 5-2 win over Denton Braswell 
Avery Howerton threw a one-hitter with seven strikeouts and two walks.
She also singled, drove in a run and scored once.
Melanie Baldwin doubled and drove in a run. 
Addison McBride singled and drove in a run.
Keely Hartless singled and scored.
Reagan Downs scored twice for Whitesboro 
The win took the Lady Cats to 9-3 on the year ahead of Tuesday’s bout with Farmersville. Results were not available as of press time. 
Earlier in the Tournament, the Lady Cats notched a 7-4 win over Lake Dallas. 
Baldwin was 2-for-3 in that affair and drove in a run. 
Howerton had a home run, drove in two and scored twice.
McBride doubled and scored.
Downs singled and scored.
They also logged a 8-4 win in four innings against Randall and a 15-3 win over Frisco Independence.

Lady Pirates end Era Tourney

The Collinsville Lady Pirate softball team logged multiple wins in the Era-Valley View Tournament before ending with a 4-4 tie against Paradise. 
Shelby Derzapf was 3-for-3 and a homered, drove in a run and scored once.
Devyn Elvington tripled, walked, drove in a run and scored.
Ashleigh Ortowski, fresh off the basketball court, singled, walked and scored twice.
The tie took Collinsville  to 7-2-1 on the year.
They hosted Sam Rayburn Monday night.
They did  notch a 7-1 loss to Valley View but picked up a 7-4 win in against Callisburg.
