W’boro’s Blaylock invites citizens to attend ‘Coffee with the Mayor’ discussion forum

Whitesboro Mayor Dave Blaylock invites all Whitesboro citizens to attend “Coffee with the Mayor” this Saturday, March 2 at Daylight Donuts on Union Street.

From 8-10 a.m., Mayor Blaylock will be available to answer any questions in a casual, open forum setting. 

“Coffee with the Mayor” is something Blaylock has wanted to do since before his election.

“I would like for everyone who would like to meet me there and I will try to answer any questions,” Blaylock said. “I would really like input on what people like in the city and maybe what they don’t like.”

While the mayor is looking forward to an open discussion, he isn’t making any drastic promises.

“This doesn’t mean I can make the world change,” he said. “I would just like to have some input on where we want to go.”

This Saturday’s “Coffee with the Mayor” is the first of what Blaylock hopes will become a regular event.
