Area citizens ages 55 and older are invited to attend a Senior Health Fair on Jan. 31 at the Stanford House senior activity center in Gainesville.
The free event, sponsored by North Texas Medical Center (NTMC), will be held from 10:30 a.m. to noon and will feature free health screenings along with information on diabetes education, physical therapy, lymphedema therapy, joint replacement surgery, healthy nutrition, wound care, flu shots, volunteer opportunities and more.
Attendees will be able to meet and visit with NTMC healthcare professionals to get information on ways to stay on a path to good health in 2024. There will also be refreshments and door prizes.
The Stanford House is located at 401 West Garnett Street in Gainesville. Those in attendance can also learn about programs offered through the Stanford House. In fact, attendees can join a free Chair Yoga class during the event.
