Three Collinsville High School senior student athletes signed letters of intent last Wednesday, committing to attend college in the fall.
Logan Jenkins signed to UT Tyler where he will be a utility player and pitcher for the school’s baseball team.
A multi-talented athlete, Jenkins was recently named the 2A Football Ford Tough Player of the Year for his outstanding on-field performance and off-field accomplishments.
He plans to study pre-chiropractics with the possibility of exploring a career in physical therapy.
Rylan Newman signed to Northern Oklahoma College where he will be a pitcher on the baseball team. Newman plans to study chiropractics.
Reed Patterson signed to Friends University, a non-denominational Christian college in Wichita, Kansas.
Patterson plans to major in business with an emphasis in sports management. He’ll serve as a strong safety for the Friends football team.
“This is a great moment for them,” Coach Garrett Patterson said to a crowd of students gathered in the high school gym to celebrate this next chapter for their friends and classmates.
“I can’t tell you how much time these kids have invested to get here. Let’s celebrate these young men today. I’m very proud of them.”
