An official grand opening will be held at a later date.
Workers are currently finalizing the details on the brick building, which was designed to blend well with the modern city hall less than a block away.
The new 6,140 square-foot facility will be able to house over 30,000 books along with 14 patron computer stations with free Internet service.
Library Director Ginger Garvin expects to be able to open Jan. 26 barring any unforeseen problems.
