The Lady Ram softabll team ended the regular season last week with an 18-0 record and the district championship. The Lady Rams will face Lone Oak in a best of three series this weekend in Bonham to kick-off the first round of the post season. Game one is 6 p.m. tonight. Game two is 1 p.m. Saturday with game three thereafter, if needed.

Lady Cats run rule Pilot Point
The Whitesboro Lady Bearcat softball team ended their regular season Thursday with a 17-0 win over Pilot Point on the road. 

Bradi Gallaway went 5-for-5 with two doubles, a walk, drove in six and scored four times.

Avery Howerton threw a no-hitter with 16 strikeouts and two walks.

She also tripled, walked, drove in two and scored twice.

Tylar Olsen went 4-for-5 with a triple, five RBIs and scored twice.

Reagan Downs went 3-for-4 with a double, walked, drove in a run and scored.

Cam Ortiz went 2-for-4 with a double, walked, drove in a run and scored twice.

Breighlin Rupert singled, drove in a run and scored once.

Emma Parish singled, walked and scored once. 

The win took Whitesboro to 17-8 on the year. 

They hosted Dallas Madison in a 3A Division I Region II bi-district game at 6 p.m. on Thursday.

Lady Rams end regular season perfect
The S&S Lady Ram softball team ended a perfect regular season with a 10-0 win over Howe at home Thursday night.

Lana Walters went 3-for-3 with two doubles and a triple, three RBIs and scored three times.

Hayden Kight went 3-for-3 with two doubles, drove in a run and scored once.

Hayden Mowrey threw a one-hitter with 13 strikeouts and a walk.

She also singled, walked, drove in a run and scored twice.

Lily Nunn homered and drove in two runs.

Izzie Talamantes singled, drove in a run and scored once.

Hannah Foster singled and scored once. 

Bri Fowler walked twice and scored once. 

The win took S&S to 18-0 on the year.

Lady Pirates down to Honey Grove
The Collinsville Lady Pirate softball team ended their season Thursday with a 10-0 loss at Honey Grove. 

Hailey Germany singled and walked.

Jaydee Matlock and Bailey Miller singled.

Sophia Woody walked for Collinsville 

The Lady Pirates end the year 5-10.

Bearcat baseball playoff bound
The Whitesboro Bearcat softball team locked up a playoff spot with a 7-6 walk-off home win Thursday night over Valley View. 

It was Korbin Ross’ bunt single in the bottom of the seventh that brought in the winning run.

Tracy Brees went 2-for-3, drove in a run and scored.

Dax Martin doubled, walked, drove in a run and scored once. 

Brayden Bomar singled, walked twice, drove in a run and scored.

Jacob Knight singled, drove in a run and scored.

Troy Randall doubled and scored.

Camden Stephens singled and drove in a run.

Rhet Rudzinski singled and scored once. 

The win took Whitesboro to 10-11 on the year and 7-3 in district. 

They hosted Paradise on Tuesday night.

Pirates sail past Honey Grove
The Collinsville pirate baseball team topped Honey Grove 6-1 Thursday night on the road. 

Garrett Trevino threw a two-hitter with seven strikeouts and three walks.

Caysen Schafer singled, walked, drove in two and scored.

Jaxon Jenkins, Jaxon Spivey and Brandon Cantu each walked and scored.

Cash Morgan walked twice for Collinsville.

The win took the Pirates to 19-3 on the year and 14-0 in district play. 

They hosted Dodd City on Tuesday night. Results were not available as of press time.

Tioga slams Savoy
The Tioga Bulldog baseball team shutdown Savoy on the road Thursday night with a 16-0 final.

Landon Bingham went 3-for-3 with two triples and a double, four RBIs and scored twice.

Logan Netterville went 3-for-3 with a double, three RBIs and scored once.

Slade Babbitt went 3-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and scored twice.

Hayden Roberts went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and scored once. 

Julian Hernandez went 2-for-2 with a double, two RBIs and scored.

Gage Anderson went 2-for-3 and scored twice.

Luke Sheppard went 2-for-2, drove in a run and scored twice.

Johnny Dorpinghaus singled, drove in a run and scored twice.

Luke Roberts doubled and drove in a run.

Kai Goree threw a perfect game with five strikeouts.

The win took Tioga 10-11 on the year and 5-9 in district play.

They traveled to Trenton on Tuesday night. Results were not available as of press time.

Rams split with Grayson Christian 
The S&S Ram baseball team split a home double header last week against Grayson Christian in non-district play. 

They took game one 7-2 and lost game two 8-1. 

In game two, Joe Orr singled and drove in a run.

Brightin McNabb singled and walked.

Eli Nortman walked and scored once. 

Nik Roseberry and Ruffin Brubaker singled. 

In game one, McNabb did not allow an earned run on four hits.

He had seven strikeouts and three walks in five and a third innings.

Brandon Petty singled, drove in a run and scored twice. 

Tyler Johnson doubled, drove in a run and scored and Major Milam singled and scored.

The Rams fell to 6-14.

They ended the regular season Tuesday with a double-header at Howe.

Lady Rams finish Gunter
The S&S Lady Ram softball team is seemingly unstoppable. 

They remained perfect on the season and clinched the district championship last week at home with a 4-0 win over Gunter. 

Hayden Mowrey threw a three-hitter with 13 strikeouts and two walks.

She also doubled, drove in two and scored once. 

Lana Walters singled, walked and scored.

Bri Fowler singled and drove in a run.

Brooklyn Sterling and Izzie Talamnates each walked and scored.

Hayden Kight drove in a run.

The win took S&S to 17-0 on the year.

Lady Bulldogs down to Whitewright
The Tioga Lady Bulldog softball team fell to Whitewright 9-7 at home last week in district play. 

Abbie Benke went 2-for-5 with a double, three RBIs and scored once. 

Kyndall Whitley went 2-for-3 with a double, walked, drove in a run and scored twice.

Kennedy Slay went 2-for-3, walked, drove in a run and scored.

Aly Salinas singled, walked and scored.

Kenzee Powers walked, drove in a run and scored twice.

The loss to Tioga to 16-9 and 11-4 in district.

Lady Pirates tame Tigers
The Collinsville Lady Pirate softball team topped Trenton last week on the road with a 10-9 final. 

Tessa Vannoy went 2-for-4 with a triple, three RBIs and scored twice.

Sophia Woody went 2-for-2, walked twice and scored.

Bailey Miller went 2-for-4 and scored.

Jaydee Matlock and Rilee Stewart each singled, walked, drove in a run and scored.

Reece Elvington walked, drove in a run.

The loss took Collinsville to 6-16 on the year. 

They ended their season at Honey Grove on Thursday.

Tioga’s golfers pace well at region
Tioga freshman golfer Emerson Moore landed a top 20 finish at the Class 2A Region II tournament last week at Old Brickyard Golf Course in Ferris. 

She finished with a two-day total of 202 to tie for 18th in the standings with Valley Mills’ Olivia Sadler. She was five strokes from being in the top 15.

On the boys side, Tioga’s Zander Zafar shot a 72 and is tied for sixth place with Lipan’s Court Gaylor earning him a trip to the State golf tournament for the second straight season.

The Class 2A state tournament will be at Lions Municipal Golf Course in Austin on May 5-6.

Zafar was the region runner-up last year.

He ended regulation in a three-way tie for first with Lindsay’s Carson Corbett and Lipan’s Court Gaylor.
