On Friday April 25, the Cooke County Arts Council will transform the Gainesville Junior High Auditorium into a dazzling showcase of local talent for the “Sights & Sounds Showcase of the ARTS,” a vibrant celebration benefiting Cooke County high school student ARTS scholarships.

Feast your eyes on a stunning kaleidoscope of visual art by the Gainesville Area Visual Arts (GAVA) members. This year’s display of art showcases bold new works from emerging local artists, pushing the boundaries of creativity in our community.

The North Texas Chorale, under the dynamic leadership of Clint Kelley, will debut beautiful songs from their upcoming spring concert, “Showers of Blessings.” Selections include “When You Believe,” a delightful arrangement from Stephen Schwarz’s Broadway and movie hit, The Prince of Egypt, and an original by Andy Beck entitled, “A Blessing”.
The Butterfield Stage Players will present a sneak peek of their upcoming summer production 9-5, The Musical, directed by Clark Bawcom. Inspired by the iconic 80’s film and brought to you by Dolly Parton herself, this hilarious musical is about teaming up, standing up and taking care of business.
Prepare to be blown away after the intermission by the electrifying Gainesville Swing Orchestra, featuring a 20-piece ensemble. Led by award-winning Dave Alexander, this powerhouse group will take you on a thrilling musical journey you won’t soon forget. Showcasing some of the region’s most accomplished jazz musicians, this ensemble delivers pure musical excellence.
