WHS Academic UIL students named District Champions

WHS Academic UIL students named District Champions
At their recent meet, Whitesboro High School Academic UIL students earned the title of District Champions, and so did the school’s Speech Team.

Whitesboro High School (WHS) sent 40 students to Ponder on March 26 to compete at the UIL District Academic Meet. The group earned the title of District Champions with a total of 534 points in sweepstakes, surpassing the second-place team by 72 points. Additionally, the Speech Team was named District Champion in its category with a score of 133 points, surpassing the second-place team by 51 points.

Any team placing first; individuals placing first, second or third; and Top Physics automatically advance to regional. Wildcard slots for second-place teams are yet to be determined.
