Keep Collinsville Beautiful (KCB) will be sponsoring its annual City-Wide Cleanup Day on Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 8 a.m.-1 p.m.
This is KCB’s signature event each year and is held in conjunction with the statewide DON’T MESS WITH TEXAS TRASH OFF.
The city will be providing three large dumpsters at the west water tower for the disposal of trash. Proof of residency (e.g. water bill) will be required for use of the dumpsters.
Last year’s event was marred by torrential rain, but KCB still had approximately 15 volunteers and filled all three dumpsters before noon with a total of 5.9 tons of debris.
Volunteers for this year’s event should report to the City Annex Building at 8 a.m. for assignments. There will be some crews assigned to pick up trash along Highway 377 as a part of the Adopt-a-Highway program.
Others will be bundling tree limbs and picking up other debris around town with trucks and trailers.
Still others will be cleaning the right-of-way along Main Street.
KCB is encouraging the Boy Scouts, various school organizations, churches, and clubs as well as business owners and homeowners to participate in this citywide event.
Lunch will be provided by Republic Services and will be served at the City Annex at noon.
This event is a partnership between KCB, the City of Collinsville and Republic Services as well as the citizens of Collinsville.
This is a great opportunity to dispose of your unwanted trash and to pitch in and help the city of Collinsville spruce up for spring and make a difference in our community.
