Make way for Bernice...
Last Thursday, the Whitesboro Fire Department held a Push-In Ceremony for its new Brush 252 truck. Community members and city leaders gathered to wipe down and push the truck into the bay, marking a time-honored tradition dating back to the days of horse-drawn fire wagons. Brush 252 (affectionately named “Bernice” after a community member who gave a generous posthumous contribution) was purchased entirely through donations and fundraising with no taxpayer dollars utilized. The truck is now in service.
