West Grayson Retired School Personnel (WGRSP) is now accepting scholarship applications.
Two scholarships are offered to encourage and assist deserving students pursuing a career in education. This is at least the 17th year for the group to award a scholarship. This year two scholarships of $750 each will be awarded.
Applicants for these scholarships must have graduated from Whitesboro ISD, Collinsville ISD, S&S CISD or Tioga ISD. Applicants must be at a junior or senior level in college, majoring in
education with a commitment to enter the teaching field or a graduate student taking graduate courses in education or toward an advanced education degree or certification.
The Curtis Anne Kinsfather Memorial Scholarship is another award given each year by the group. This will be awarded to a graduate of Whitesboro High School planning to enroll in college or career training that shows need of financial assistance. The field of study for this award is not limited to the field of education.
Applications are available at the counselors’ offices at the four area high schools, from a WGRSPA member or by contacting Glenda Coulson at [email protected] or 903-821-7854. The scholarship application deadline is April 12, 2025.
