With Valentine’s Day around the corner, the North Texas Medical Center (NTMC) Auxiliary has partnered with Nothing Bundt Cakes for a special fundraiser on Feb. 13. Representatives from Nothing Bundt Cakes will be in the NTMC lobby that day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with nine different flavors of cakes in gift packaging. Anyone is welcome to come and purchase these cakes (perfect for Valentine’s gifts) and all proceeds benefit the NTMC Auxiliary.
The NTMC Auxiliary handles day-to-day activities at the hospital, including manning the hospital information desk; delivering mail and flowers; operating the hospital gift shop; and assisting staff in the storeroom, accounts payable, medical records, cardiac rehab, women’s center and various other departments.
The Auxiliary also assists with clerical and hostess duties; providing activities for swing bed patients; and serving as patient advocates and liaisons between hospital staff, patients and families.
Money raised from fundraisers like this cake sale help to purchase needed hospital equipment, support various large projects and support a generous scholarship program that promotes high school and college students (including volunteers and employees of the hospital) who wish to further their education in the health care field.
