Whitesboro High School’s Academic UIL Team took 40 students to Lindsay last Saturday to compete in 17 different events. Overall, Whitesboro placed 2nd as a team with 310 points.
The Calculator Team placed 2nd and Jeremey Krause placed 5th individually.
The Computer Science Team placed 1st. Individually, Krause was 1st, Jake Niles was 2nd, Colby Lamb was 3rd and Siena Bensley was 5th.
Jacqueline Hensel placed 5th in copy editing.
The Current Issues and Events team placed 1st. Individually, Ada Pierson was 4th, Mason Pierson was 5th and Trayden Nelson was 6th.
Hensel was 2nd in Feature Writing.
In Informative Speaking, Ada Pierson was 2nd, Emily Welles was 4th and Emma Hancock was 5th.
The Literary Criticism team was 1st. Lydia Calderon was 2nd, Hensel was 4th and Kaylee Niles was 6th.
The Math team was 2nd overall. Krause was the 1st-place individual.
Alexis Bingham was 1st in News Writing and Emily Cogburn was 4th.
The Number Sense team was 2nd. Krause was 6th.
In Persuasive Speaking, Trayden Nelson was 3rd, Mason Pierson was 4th, Ripley Harper was 5th and Layke Cole was 6th.
In Poetry, Emily Cogburn was 2nd.
In Prose, Layla Carey was 3rd.
In Ready Writing, Hensel was 2nd.
The Science team placed 3rd. Krause was 6th and Bryce Thompson had the Top Physics Score.
The Social Studies team was 3rd with Calderon placing 3rd individually.
The Spelling team came in 2nd.
