Bearcats thump Valley View
The Whitesboro Bearcat varsity basketball team roared back into district play Saturday at home with a 62-31 win over Valley View. 

Jacob Knight led the Bearcat attack with 30 points, six steals, five assists and four rebounds.

Jack Hinsley had 16 points and four rebounds.

Dax Martin had seven points, five rebounds and four steals.

Ezra Melton landed seven rebounds.

The win tool Whitesboro to 19-7 on the year and 3-1 in district play.

They hosted Paradise on Tuesday night. Results were not available as of press time.

Collinsville clips Chico
The Collinsville Pirate varsity basketball team edged Chico Saturday with a 71-66 victory on the road in district play.

The win took Collinsville to 3-10 on the year and 1-4 in district play. 

They traveled to Era Tuesday night.

Bulldogs lose at home
The Tioga Bulldog varsity basketball team fell to Slidell 66-32 at home Saturday in district play. 

The loss took Tioga to 7-12 on the year and 1-4 in district play. 

They traveled to Alvord Tuesday.

Lady Cats beat Valley View
The Whitesboro Lady Bearcat varsity basketball team landed a huge home win Saturday with a 52-26 win over Valley View in district play. 

Lauren Muntz led the Whitesboro attack with nine points.

Allison Eldredge had eight points, six rebounds and three steals.

Reagan Downs had seven points and seven rebounds.

Claire Ortiz had seven points and three steals.

Izzy Gabbert landed eight rebounds.

The win took Whitesboro to 10-14 on the year and 3-3 in district play.

They hosted Paradise on Tuesday night. Results were not available as of press time.

Lady Pirates top Chico
The Collinsville Lady Pirate varsity basketball team routed Chico with a 62-37 Saturday on the road in district play. 

The win took Collinsville to 16-6 on the year and 5-2 in district play. 

They opened the second half of district play Tuesday night at Era.

Tioga slammed by Slidell 
The Tioga Lady Bulldog varsity basketball team fell to Slidell Saturday at home in district play.

The loss took Tioga to 5-13 on the year and 1-6 in district. 

They traveled to Alvord on Tuesday. Results were not available as of press time.

Bearcats best Leonard
The Whitesboro Bearcat varsity basketball team topped Leonard 61-49 Tuesday, Jan. 7 on the road in non-district action. 

Jack Hinsley led the Bearcat attack with 24 points and six rebounds.

Max Hinsley had 14 points, four assists and three rebounds.

Jacob Knight had seven points, seven rebounds, six assists and three steals.

Dax Martin had eight points.

Brayden Bomar offered six points, six rebounds and four assists.

Ezra Melton landed eight rebounds.

The win took Whitesboro to 18-7 on the year.

They returned to district action Saturday when they hosted Valley View.


Pirates lose to Alvord
The Collinsville Pirate varsity basketball team lost to Alvord 62-53 on Jan. 7 at home. 

The loss took Collinsville to 2-10 on the year and 0-4 in district play. 

They traveled to Chico on Friday night.

Rams routed by Howe
The S&S Ram basketball team came up short with a 63-21 final Jan. 7 against Howe on the road in district play. 

Joe Orr scored seven points for the Rams.

Brenden Hammer had five points.

The loss took S&S to 1-18 on the year and 0-4 in district.

Lady Rams top Howe in second OT
It took two overtimes, but the S&S Lady Ram basketball team bested Howe 67-62 Tuesday, Jan. 7 on the road in district play. 

Sela Winborne led the Ram attach with 21 points.

Dandree Meeks had 18 points.

Rylee Garrison supplied 12 points.

Tabi Jordan had six points.

The win took the Rams to 5-17 on the year and 1-5 in district play. 

They had a bye on Friday before visiting Bells on Tuesday.

Lady Pirates axe Alvord
The Collinsville Lady Pirate basketball team dominated Alvord 104-25 Tuesday, Jan. 7 at home in district play.

Ashleigh Ortowski led the attack with 37 points, 12 assists and 10 steals.

The win took Collinsville to 15-6 on the year and 4-2 in district play. 

They traveled to Chico on Friday night.

Lady Bulldogs lose to Lindsay
The Tioga Lady Bulldog basketball team fell to Lindsay 54-39 Tuesday, Jan. 7 on the road.

The loss took Tioga to 5-12 on the year and 1-5 in district play.

The Bulldogs hosted Slidell on Friday night.
