Registration is now open for the Whitesboro Parks and Recreation Department’s (PARD) Youth Baseball/Softball/Tee-ball leagues. Forms are being distributed through the area schools and are available at the Whitesboro Community Center at 400 Wilson Street and on the department’s website.
The PARD will accept registration forms until the deadline, Friday, Jan. 31 at 5 p.m. A copy of the player’s birth certificate must be included with the registration form and payment.
The registration fee is $80 for 5- and 6-year-old Tee-ball players, and it is $100 for players ages 7 years through 12 years. The registration fee for 13- and 14-year-old baseball is $120.
There is a discount for families registering more than one child per sport. Families registering two children will receive $5 off the total fee. Those registering three or more children will receive $10 off the total fee.
There is also a scholarship program to assist with registration fees. In order to be eligible for a sports scholarship, the child must qualify for the Free Lunch Program at school or be listed on a Medicaid or WIC card.
Parents must provide the PARD with a current copy of the qualification letter or card as proof of eligibility for each season requesting the scholarship program.
In addition to the certificate, participants must pay a per player fee of 40% of the regular price, and they must register by the deadline.
Players may access the online registration platform if desired by visiting www.whitesboro.org/pard under Supporting Links at the bottom of the page.
Scholarship rates are not available online. Registrations will be taken after the deadline only if needed to fill shortages on rosters.
A $10 late fee will be added for anyone registering after the deadline. No sports scholarships will be given after the registration deadline; no exceptions!
To review the complete registration policy, visit the athletics page of the Parks and Recreation Department website.

If requesting additional services, each of the following will also be required before the registration deadline: an Installment Agreement, a Move-Up-in-Age form (not applicable for Tee-ball), a Scholarship Form and proof of scholarship eligibility. The PARD will not accept incomplete registrations.
