Tioga’s Evan Ballinger named 2024 Top-Ten Freshman at Southeastern Oklahoma State

Tioga native Evan Ballinger was named among the 2024 Top-Ten Freshmen at Southeastern Oklahoma State University and was honored recently with a ceremony and reception. 

The awards are based on academics, leadership, campus involvement and letters of recommendation. They were presented to students who were freshmen in 2023.

Ballinger is an Occupational Safety and Health major.

He is a member of the President’s Leadership Class, Savage Storm Leaders, Safety Olympics Team and American Society of Safety Professionals. 

Ballinger has participated in the Choctaw LEAD Academy, Higher Education Day at the Oklahoma City Capitol and Upward Bound mentoring. He is also a recipient of the 2023 Freshman Success Award.

Ballinger is a 2023 graduate of Tioga High and is the son of Josh and Garra Ballinger.

Jinkins of Bells; Haley Langley of Durant, Oklahoma; Reagan McCortney of Ada, Oklahoma; Cora McKinney of Oklahoma City; Brookelyn Mitchell of Mustang, Oklahoma; Sydney Reardon of Roanoke and Ryan Schoeppach of Clinton, Oklahoma.
