The Collinsville Community Library has a full schedule of public events this month.
All month long, they’re hosting a Snowman Scavenger Hunt. Snowman parts have been hidden around the library for people to find. Once visitors have found enough parts to build a full snowman, they win a prize (an edible snowman to take home).
Every Friday at 11 a.m., the library will host Tiny Tot Storytime. Planned for kids ages 0-3 years old, activities include stories, songs and age-appropriate crafts.
Every Wednesday at 1 p.m., the library will offer Book Bugs Storytime. Planned for kids ages 4 and up, activities include stories, songs and crafts.
On Thursday, Jan. 9 at 7 p.m., the public enjoyed a Basic and Easy Greeting Cards class. Attendees ages 16 and up used scrapbook supplies to create greeting cards.
The chess club will meet on Jan. 15 and 29 at 4 p.m. People of all ages are welcome to attend.
On Jan. 23, Literary Café will take place at 5:30 p.m. This month’s discussion will center around “The Measure” by Nikki Erlick. Attendees will enjoy refreshments and sample some mocktails.
This month’s Kids’ Activity will be a Dog Man Party on Jan. 30 from 4-5 p.m. People ages 6 and up are invited to celebrate the movie premiere with lots of thematic activities. Please RSVP on the library’s Facebook page or in person at the library.
