Cats take third in Leonard Tourney...

The Whitesboro Bearcat basketball team took third place over the weekend in the Leonard Holiday Tournament after a 58-52 win over Benbrook. Max and Jack Hinsley were named to the All-Tournament team.

Bearcats take third in Leonard Tourney
The Whitesboro Bearcat Basketball team took third place over the weekend in the Leonard Tournament with a 58-52 win over Benbrook. 

Max and Jack Hinsley were named to the All-Tournament team. 

Jacob Knight led the Bearcat attack with 18 points and four rebounds. Jack Hinsley had 16 points, seven rebounds and five steals. Max Hinsley had 13 points and seven rebounds. Brayden Bomar had 11 points and seven rebounds.

The win took the Bearcats to 15-7 on the year. They resumed district play Tuesday at home against Pilot Point. Results were not available as of press time.

Cats up and down in mid-tourney action
The Whitesboro Bearcat basketball team came up three points short against the Tournament hosting Leonard Tigers last week in the semi-final game. 
The Tigers won 58-44

Jack Hinsley led the Bearcat effort with 18 points and nine rebounds. Max Hinsley had 14 points. Jacob Knight had 12 points, six rebounds and five assists. Dax Martin had four points and five rebounds for Whitesboro.

The loss took Whitesboro to 14-7 on the year. They carried on with tourney action on Saturday.

Prior to the Leonard loss, the Bearcats notched a 57-53 win over Dallas Life Oak Cliff.

Jack Hinsley had 24 points and five rebounds in that affair. Max Hinsley had 14 points and three assists. Brayden Bomar had six points and five rebounds. Knight offered 12 assists.

Lady Bulldogs top S&S
The Tioga Lady Bulldog basketball team beat S&S 47-29 on Dec. 27 at home in non-district action. 

Ella Norwood led the Tioga effort with 20 points. Addison Snuggs had 11 points. Lindsey Byler had nine points.

The win took Tioga to 5-10 on the year. They will resume district play tonight at home against Collinsville. 

Sela Winborne and Dandre Meeks each scored nine points for S&S. Keelie Jordan had six points. 

The win took the Lady Rams to 4-15 on the year.

They resumed district play Tuesday at Pottsboro. Results were not available as of press time.

Cats slug Savoy 
The Whitesboro Bearcat basketball team opened the Leonard Tournament last week with an 85-20 over Savoy. 

Jacob Knight led the Bearcat attack with 14 points, seven assists, six rebounds and three steals. Jack Hinsley was close behind with 14 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals.
Wyatt Winchester had 12 points, five rebounds and four assists. Max Hinsley had 12 points, four assists and three rebounds. Ezra Melton had 10 points and 13 rebounds. Brayden Bomar had nine points, five assists, four rebounds and three steals for Whitesboro 

The win took Whitesboro to 13-6. They carried on Tournament play Friday, Dec. 27 against Life Oak Cliff.

Lady Cats lose to Ponder
The Whitesboro Lady Bearcat basketball team lost to Ponder 69-25 on Friday, Dec. 20 on the road in district play. 

The loss took Whitesboro to 7-11 on the year and 1-2 in district play ahead of the Leonard Tournament that opened Thursday, Dec. 26.

Lady Bulldogs bulldozed by Muenster 
The Tioga Lady Bulldog basketball team came up short to Muenster with a 74-29 final Dec. 20 on the road.

The loss took Tioga to 4-10 on the year and 1-3 in district play. 

They hosted S&S in non-district action on Friday, Dec. 27.

Lady Rams lose to Leonard
The S&S Lady Ram basketball team fell to Leonard 50-13 on Friday, Dec. 29 in district 11-3A play.

The loss took S&S to 4-14 in district play and 0-3 in district play. 

They traveled to Tioga for a non-district bour on Friday, Dec. 27.

Bearcats fall to Ponder
The Whitesboro Bearcat basketball team lost to Ponder 60-46 Friday, Dec. 20 in their district opener. 

Max Hinsley led the Bearcat effort with 18 points, four rebounds and four assists. Jack Hinsley had 15 points. Jacob Knight offered six points, six rebounds and three assists. Brayden Bomar had five points.

The loss took the Cats to 12-6 on the year and 0-1 in district play.

They competed in the Leonard Tournament over the holiday.

Pirates lose to Lindsay
The Collinsville Pirate basketball team fell to Lindsay 65-20 on Dec. 20 in their district. 

The loss took Collinsville to 2-4 on the year and 0-1 in district play. 

They opened play in the Callisburg Tournament Thursday, Dec. 26.

Rams routed by Leonard
The S&S Ram basketball team opened district on Friday, Dec. 20 with a 95-22 loss to Leonard at home. 

Adam Mutz led the Ram effort with 10 points and four rebounds. Joe Orr and Brenden Hammer each had five points. Seth Mutz was good for five rebounds.

The loss took the Rams to 1-15 on the year ahead of the Ector Tournament that kicked-off Friday, Dec. 27.

Lady Cats cage Callisburg
The Whitesboro Lady Bearcat basketball team routed Callisburg 57-31 on Tuesday, Dec. 17 at home in district play. 

Lindsay Hermes led the Lady Cat attack with 12 points and five rebounds. Izzy Gabbert had 11 points, 18 rebounds and three assists. Allison Eldredge had 11 points and three steals.
Claire Ortiz had seven points. 

The win took Whitesboro to 7-10 on the year and 1-1 in district. They traveled to Ponder on Friday, Dec. 20. 

The loss took Callisburg to 12-4 on the year and 1-1 in district.

Lady Pirates beat Slidell
The Collinsville Lady Pirates topped Slidell 66-56 on Tuesday, Dec. 17 at home in district play.

The win took Collinsville to 2-1 in district play.

They hosted Lindsay on Friday, Dec. 20.

Lady Rams fall to Blue Ridge
The S&S Lady Ram basketball team took a 49-28 road loss Tuesday, Dec. 17 against Blue Ridge in district play.

The loss took S&S to 4-13 on the year and 0-2 in district. They hosted Leonard on Friday, Dec. 20.

Lady Bulldogs lose to Era
The Tioga Lady Bulldogs basketball team fell to Era 52-27 on Dec. 17 at home in district action. 

The loss took Tioga to 4-9 on the year and 1-2 in district play. 

The traveled to Muenster on Friday, Dec. 20.
