Area residents earn collegiate honors for fall 2024 semester

Two Whitesboro residents were among the list of honor roll students named for the fall 2024 semester at Midwestern State University in Texas.

Savanah Hott, working on her nursing degree, was named to the President’s Honor Roll. Erik Wagner Rohwedder de Resende, majoring in finance, was named to the Provost’s Honor Roll.

The university recognized 1,080 honor roll students. The President’s Honor Roll included 368 students, the Provost’s Honor Roll included 328 students and the Dean’s Honor Roll included 382 students.

A student who completes 12 hours in one semester with no grade lower than A (4.0) will be included on the President’s Honor Roll. The student cannot have semester grades of I, WF or NC.

A student who completes 12 hours in one semester with a grade point average of 3.75 to 3.99 and no grade lower than C will be included on the Provost’s Honor Roll. The student cannot have semester grades of I, WF or NC.

A student who completes a 12 hours in one semester with a grade point average of 3.50 to 3.74 and no grade lower than C will be included on the Dean’s Honor Roll. The student cannot have semester grades of I, WF or NC.

Additionally, Tioga’s Amanda Parks was named to the Dean’s List at Bob Jones University. Parks, a senior history major, was among approximately 720 Bob Jones University students named to the Fall 2024 Dean’s List.

The Dean’s List recognizes students who earn a 3.00-3.74 grade point average during the semester.
